Sometimes it feels like we need to accomplish all of our goals right away. But the year is long and we have plenty of time, so slow down and don’t be too hard on yourself if you haven’t reached the whole year’s goal by late February. Next let’s talk about what your goals are. How do you remember? Did you write them down? If not you should. Studies show that writing down your goals and keeping them in a visible place equals greater success. Personally I don’t need the world to see my weight loss goals so I like to keep them pinned to the wall of my closet. That way I see them every day, but my family and friends do not. Next, do you have a plan? How do you plan on achieving your weight loss goal? Having a game plan is an essential part of meeting your goal. A goal without a plan is just a wish. Just wishing away the fat sadly doesn’t work. I know because I have tried it. So come up with a plan for the year. And finally, motivate yourself to stick with it. Don’t get discouraged if one day, week, or even month doesn’t go the way you planned. Because you can always get back on track. Don’t give up! Remember there are countless benefits of an active lifestyle. one of the most important being motivation!
